SJVNL targets 6930 million units power next fiscal

Shimla : Himachal based PSU SJVNL on Monday set a target of generating 6930 million units in the next fiscal 2013-14 . This would generate a revenue of Rs 1793 crore and a net profit of Rs 790 crore .

This revenue will be generated by its 1500 MW Nathpa Jhakri hydroelectric project(6875 MU) the upcoming 47.6 MW Khirvire windpower project in Maharashtra .

According to the MOU signed with the union power ministry in New Delhi it provides for the commissioning of all the six units of the 412 MW Rampur hydro electric project between 15 Dec 2013 to March 2014 .

The MOU includes targets for construction of the 588 MW Luhri and 51 MW Jhakol Sankri in Uttarakhand and also the completion of the 412 MW Rampur project in Himachal .
