Rs 5200 crore annual plan for Himachal

Shimla : The annual plan for the upcoming fiscal year has been raised by 8 per cent to Rs 5200 crore.

This was approved by the planning board meeting chaired by chief minister Virbhadra Singh here Monday.

The social service sector has been given priority with an
allocation of Rs 1992 crore which is 38 percent of the plan size.

Rs 979 crore has been proposed for transport and communication services. Energy sector gets Rs 683 crore and includes loan and equity of the ADB.Agriculture gets Rs 586 crore.
