New state library opened in Shimla

Shimla : Built at a cost of Rs 10 crore the Ambedkar State Library at Kennedy Chowk Shimla.This library has a total floor area of over 2000 sq.mtr with seating capacity of 120 persons. 

The kibrary will have a rich collection of over 72400 books which would prove useful to the students, research scholars and general readers, a government spokesman said.

This building has book stacking area, reading area, counter, librarian room, issue and return area, computer section, digitisation section, technical section, canteen, binding area, server room and an electrical room .
