Chaudhary is CS Himachal

Shimla : The newly formed Jai Ram Thakur BJP government in Himachal Pradesh late Saturday appointed Vineet Chaudhry as the new Chief Secretary in place of V C Pharka who goes as Advisor Public Grieveances.

The orders came soon after the return of the Chief Minister from New Delhi.

Chaudhry is a 1982 batch IAS officer but the outgoing Congress government had still made appointed Pharka a year junior to him to the top post sparking a controversy in the bureaucracy.

The government also appointed Additional Director Horticulture Dharamsala Mohinder Singh Rana as the new Director.

Dr Sunil Kumar Bedi currently Joint Director Animal Husbandry as Director of the department.
