Bear kills man in Himachal’s Mandi

Shimla : A man was attacked by a bear in Himachal Pradesh’s Choharghati Tuesday. The 45 year old later died in hospital.

Chamaru Ram had gone to a nearby forest along with his son and dog to fetch wood when the bear pounced on him.

The bear also injured his son. Villagers heard the barking dog and scared away the bear.

A couple of days earlier an elderly woman was killed by a leopard in tribal Kinnaur.
