Aircel launches 3G in Himachal

Shimla: Aircel on Friday started its 3G services in Himachal Pradesh.The company has added 170 new 3G sites to its network support.

“All 30 major towns of the state will be covered.The average speed will be 2 Mbps,” Deepinder Tiwana, Business head Aircel Himachal Pradesh told reporters here.

Aircel says it has over 10 lakh customers in the hill state.

Talking about its growth rate in north India company officials said while the industry growth rate was 7 per cent Aircel’s growth was almost double at 13 per cent in north India.
