Bear mauls woman near Shimla

Shimla: A woman who was cutting grass in a forest in Ganahtti area on the outskirts of the state capital was attacked by a bear and injured.

According to police Chandrakanta had gone to fetch grass early in the morning when the bear suddenly attacked her from behind.

The woman raised an alarm and the bear fled the place.She was later taken to IGMC(Snowdon) hospital where she is recovering, doctors said.
