All roads to Himachal CM’s house closed

Shimla : The Lovers Lane Way road from St Bede’s college to Ramchander roundabout and further to Holly Lodge the home of the Himachal chief minister Virbhadra Singh will remain closed for traffic till May 10 .

 Shimla deputy commissioner said here Tuesday that no traffic will be allowed on this road due to tarring work on this winding forested road .

 Last week the only other road leading to Holly Lodge via Chalet Day school and US club was also closed for traffic by the DC for tarring work .

 Many have been heard by Sun Post saying why are only roads being tarred leading to the chief minister’s house while other roads in town remain potholed .

 Others say so long as both these roads are tarred a lot of the residents in this core area of Shimla will stand to benefit along with the chief minister.

 Six time chief minister Virbhadra has never lived at Oak Over the official palatial residence of the chief minister.

 During his tenures Oak Over located close to the state secretariat remains a make shift office and a venue for the CM to meet the general public .

Virbhadra has always lived at Holly Lodge a British era bungalow located higher up in Shimla at Jakhu .
