France’s L’Oreal eyes investing in Himachal
Shimla : The L’Oreal Group , the world’s largest cosmetics and beauty firm is keen in setting up a manufacturing unit at a cost of Rs 400 crore in Himachal Pradesh, state industries minister said.
“L’Oreal plans investing a Rs 400 crore plant in the industrial hub of Baddi and will generate 700 jobs (direct and indirect)” said Kishan Kapoor , the state industries minister .
“The company has shortlisted three locations. The firm is constantly in touch with the government and we are providing all help we can ,” said Kapoor .
If L’Oreal does set up a unit in the hill state it will the first in northern India and the second in India after Pune .
