3 Himachal beauties picked for Miss Femina India

Shimla: Three young women were selected from a bevy of beauties in Himachal to take part in the second leg of the Femina Miss India contest here on a chilly Sunday.

Shikha Sood, Santoshi Ranaut and Ankita Dogra emerged as the top three winners from among 80 contestants.They aspirants were from all over the hill state.

Pooja Negi Rajta a former Mrs India 1st runners up declared the winners at the luxurious Radisson hotel.

Organisers said this time Miss India is in a new and improvised format. In its 54 th edition Femina Miss India organisers are touring all 30 states of the country to select girls.

The top three from Himachal have been given a golden ticket to the north zonal crowning ceremony to be held in Delhi at The Leela Ambience Convention Hotel on 16 April.

Here the most deserving candidate from each of the 8 states of north India will represent their state in the finals in Mumbai in June.

For the very first time, the pageant will host mentors for each zone who will guide the contestants to merit. To take charge of the proceeding for the North Zone the organisers have former Miss India Neha Dhupia to guide contestants.
