Sun shines after many days in Shimla

Shimla : After around two weeks there was some relief as the sun broke through the monsoon clouds and fog in this Himachal Pradesh capital Sunday.

Even though there has only been passing rain in the past four days but the skies have remained mostly overcast .

On Sunday evening the sky cleared entirely and Shimlaites were able to see the blue sky after long .

The maximum temperature rose marginally in Shimla at 22.3 celsius Sunday . Dharamsala was 27.4 C , Una was the warmest at 32 C .

The weather office has forecast rain at many places in the mid hills till Aug 9 .

Heavy rain in and around Manali over the weekend has caused huge damage to the Manali-Rohtang pass road .

The Border Roads Organisation (BRO) has been the worst hit . The entire loss has been estimated at Rs 15 crore by authorities .
