The foundation stone of the ropeway project was laid in July 2007, but due to environmental reasons and forest clearances the project was delayed.

Further delays were caused as hundreds of trial runs were carried out in recent years.

Constructed by Jagson International it will ferry visitors to reach the famous Hanuman Temple at Jakhu.

Constructed on Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode, the Company will pay the government Rs 57 lakh as dividend in its first year and 15 per cent of the collection money every year.
