Jakhu house work stopped

Shimla: Building work on a multi-storied house in Shimla’s Jakhu area was stopped by the municipal corporation on the grounds that it had reportedly deviated from the approved map.

Reports said the civic body swung into action after neighbours complained about the reportedly illegal construction.

The house is being built not far from the personal house of the state chief minister Virbhadra Singh.

The Shimla municipal corporation is being criticised by many for not acting earlier when people complained about the illegal construction.
