Shimla: The state run Himachal Pradesh Marketing Corporation (HPMC) has achieved the highest sales turnover of Rs 72 crores in the fiscal year 2015-16 registering a growth of 73 per cent as compared to the previous year.
The target for the current fiscal year is Rs 91 crore.
This was disclosed by HPMC vice chairman Prakash Thakur at the board of directors meeting here on Saturday.
He said the losses of the company have reduced from Rs 6.62 crore to Rs 2.86 crore in the last fiscal.
In the current apple season HPMC has procured 7602 tonnes of fruit under MIS. 8000 crates of quality have also been procured from farmers.
HPMC was planning to soon tie up with STILH Pvt. Ltd a German Company for supply of quality power tools and horticulture equipment.
