Himachal Tourism adds 2 Euro-VI AC volvo buses

Shimla : The Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation(HPTDC) today added two new Euro-VI AC volvo coaches to its luxurious bus fleet. Making HPTDC the first buyer of these Euro-VI AC Volvo Coaches in India, a spokesman of the corporation claimed.

The HPTDC’s transport wing is already operating AC volvo coaches on the Shimla-Delhi-Shimla, Manali-Delhi-Manali and vice versa. The original cost of these coaches is Rs 2,38,36,000 (Rs 1,18,69,141 each coach).

On the demand of tourists and groups the state run corporation is also operating Non AC deluxe buses for sightseeing tours around Shimla and Manali. These buses are also operated on Shimla- Manali-Shimla and vice versa route.

The tourism industry suffered huge losses due to covid 19 last year. But in recent months there has been a revival in business and tourists are arriving in large numbers to Himachal Pradesh.
