Himachal plan to build cow shelters by 2021

Shimla : The Himachal Animal Husbandry Department plans to complete the building of cow shelters and cow sanctuaries by February 2021, so that thousands of stray cattle can provided shelter.

The animal husbandry minister Virender Kanwar today directed authorities to expedite ongoing work, to make the roads of state free from stray cattle by January,2022.

The minister directed to expedite the construction work of seven cow sanctuaries in district Kangra . He asked the authorities to complete the process of identification of land for construction of cow sanctuaries in other districts as well. Lift Assembly Vehicles will be bought to lift the injured cows.

Additional Chief Secretary Animal Husbandry Nisha Singh, Director Animal Husbandry Dr. Ajmer Dogra, Vice Chairman Gau Sewa Sadan and Official and non official members of Aayog were also present in the meeting.
