Himachal gets 10 more hi-tech fire tenders
Shimla: Hinachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu flagged off 10 hi-tech fire tenders, here today. These vehicles are equipped with foam-making machines, enabling them to tackle both ordinary fires and oil fires effectively.
With this addition, the number of fire-fighting vehicles in the hill state has gone up to 230.
Sukhu said the state government plans to open three new fire sub-stations in Kaza (Lahaul-Spiti), Killar (District Chamba), and Nadaun (District Hamirpur). Also a new fire chowki is to be opened at Dehan in the Shimla district.
