Shimla : It was a scorching day in Himachal Pradesh Sunday , with the state capital recording a high of 31 C , seven notches above normal .

Kalpa in tribal Kinnaur had a high of 26.6 C , The Kullu airport was 38.2 C . Dharamsala 36.2 C , Solan 35.8 C , Nahan 38 C .

Una was the hottest place in the state with the mercury shooting to 44.4 C .

The weatherman has forecast mainly clear sky on Monday with the maximum expected to touch 30 C in Shimla .
