Delhi World Public School in Himachal by 2020

Shimla : A MoU of Rs. 250 crore was signed between the Himachal government and the Delhi World public school for setting up of a world class public school on Chail road near Kandaghat in Solan district here Wednesday.

The MoU was signed in presence of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur here today. Director, Higher Education Dr. Amarjeet Sharma by Chairman of the State Government and Chairman, Delhi World Public School, Balwan Shokeen on behalf of the school.

The school is coming up in 25 bighas of land having 11 towers (buildings). The institute would start functioning from academic session 2020 with total intake of 6000 students, out of which 60 percent would be day scholars and 40 percent as boarders.

Balwan Shokeen said the institution would have world class facilities and would provided 15 percent rebate in the tuition fee to the students belonging to Kandaghat Tehsil of Solan district.

Delhi World Public Schools are a new chain of schools under the aegis of the Delhi World Public Foundation initiated by the alumni of Delhi Public Schools
