Bear attacks woman in Theog

Shimla: A bear attacked a woman in Himachal Pradesh’s Theog area and injured her.

This is the second attack by a bear in the area. The 36 year old woman was emerging from the cowshed when a juvenile bear sprang on her on Sunday.

The injuries were not severe as the woman raised an alarm and the bear ran away.

Less than a year ago a bear had attacked another woman of the same family who was badly mauled and took months to recover in hospital.

Wildlife officials tried to find the bear for a few weeks and even installed cctv cameras but failed.
