At last Shimla has a Circuit House

Shimla : The state capital of Himachal Pradesh Shimla finally has its first Circuit house. Even as all district headquarters and even smaller towns in the hill state already have circuit houses.

Built at a cost of Rs Rs 55 crore the building has 89 sets. It is located at Willy’s Park.

Inaugurating the circuit house today Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said this will facilitate both tourists as well as officials of the State Government.

The circuit house with four blocks, three for rooms and one for other works will has 89 luxury, VIP and ordinary rooms.

There are also three parking areas to accommodate over 150 vehicles. The place is approachable from the Boileauganj and Vidhan Sabha side. The circuit house can also be approached from Cart Road near the RTO office on foot.

The circuit house also has a conference room, lift, gymnasium, dining hall, lounge and dormitories. It will be run by the HPTDC.Half the rooms will be available on a commercial basis like Himachal Bhawan Chandigarh.
