Nahan jail prisoners perform at Gaiety

Shimla : For the first time prisoners performed at Shimla’s historic gaiety theatre entertaining the audience late Monday.

The ten inmates of the Nahan jail sang Himachal folk songs. They also sang well known qawallis and sufiana songs.

Out of the 10 prisoners five are undergoing life sentence under IPC 302. While two are facing trial under NDPS act.

The state chief minister Virbhadra Singh presided over the musical evening organised by the Prisons department.
