Himachal C S Mitra operated after brain stroke

Himachal chief secretary P. Mitra, was operated upon at the PGI Chandigarh Sunday following a brain haemorrhage.

Mitra suffered a brain stroke in Shimla on Saturday and was rushed to Chandigarh.
Mitra’s predecessor S Roy also suffered a brain haemorrhage in late 2013 after which Mitra took over as chief secretary.
He is a 1978-batch IAS officer and will retire next year.
