World Bank’s brainstorming with Himachal

Shimla :The World Bank will strengthen its partnership with the Himachal Pradesh government in power, tourism and other sectors .

This was stated here Thursday after a World Bank team headed by country director Onno Ruhl had a brainstorming session with top state government officials here.

Ruhl, Country Director assured the Bank will continue its technical and financial support for all its funded projects in the hill state.

Besides tourism and hydel power the bank showed interest in the health , roads and social sectors.

He said that the next stage was to build on these initiatives and strengthen the process of green growth in Himachal.

During the meeting the progress of DPL-II project was reviewed and new project proposals were discussed.
