Global bids for 37 hydro projects in Himachal soon
Shimla :The Himachal Pradesh has given its nod for inviting global bids for 37 hydro-electric projects on build own operate and transfer(BOOT) basis.
“The minimum limit of threshold upfront premium has been raised to Rs 35 lakh per MW.This rise was long due,” state chief minister Virbhadra Singh told reporters here Friday.
The cabinet which met late Thursday also decided to build a permanent fruit collection centre at Lavan near Kumarsain in the heart of the apple belt in Shimla district .
“This fruit centre will have facilities of packaging, grading,sorting,pre-cooling and fruit processing,” the chief minister told said .
New industrial units in the state have been given a 50 per cent reduction in stamp duty on registration of sale,conveyance and lease deeds.
The cabinet also gave its nod for depositing court fee online .
The cabinet approved transfer of land in the name of National Council of Science Museums, to the
union culture ministry in the Agriculture university Palampur.
It was agreed to provide 35 kgs food grains to above poverty line (APL) families in tribal areas of the state.
