Himachal’s only HP bulk fuel depot shut down

Shimla : Hindustan Petroleum has closed down its oil bulk depot situated on the outskirts of Shimla at Shoghi , reports said .

 This depot supplied petrol and diesel to HP petrol pumps across Himachal Pradesh for the last over three decades .

 A company official said now bulk fuel will be supplied from a bulk depot in Ambala , Haryana . Earlier HP closed its depot in Parwanoo .

 Dealers are concerned about the shutting down of the state’s only depot at Shoghi which supplied fuel to areas as far as tribal Kinnaur .

 Sources said there is a proposal to open a depot in Nalagarh in Solan district .

 Indian Oil Company’s bulk depot in the Kullu valley continues to feed many parts of the hill state .
