President Mukherjee to address Himachal house

Shimla : The President of India Pranab Mukherjee will address MLAs of the Himachal Pradesh assembly here on May 24 , this year , speaker BB Butail told the house here Wednesday .

The state assembly is celebrating its golden jubilee this year . Last month Butail had met Mukherjee in this connection .

The speaker said the President will arrive in Shimla on May 23 a day ahead of addressing the legislative assembly .

In 2004 APJ Abdul Kalam Azad was the first president to address the Himachal house .
