Himachal writer’s short story at world lit conference

Shimla : Originally in hindi S R Harnot’s popular short story ‘A manav’ has now been translated into English in Europe .

Translated by Mariola Offredi it will be formally presented at the world literature conference in Lisbon Portugal later this month .

Harnot told Sun Post that ‘a manav’ was originally published in his collection of short stories called ‘Mittee ke Log’ by aadhar publishers .

Offredi is a writer and former professor at the department of hindi Venice university ,Italy .

“Before translating the story Offredi had visited rural Sunni where the story is set ,” said Harnot .
