40 per cent seats to be reserved in Himachal roadways buses

Shimla :Come December 20 , the Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) and private buses will reserve 40 per cent of seats for senior citizens , women, cancer patients and physically disabled people in all short distance buses .

To start this apply for passengers travelling in a radius of 50 km a spokesman of the HRTC said here Tuesday .
All bus operators have been asked to mark the seats reserved for special category commuters on the left side in the buses.

Senior officers of the state government and representatives of private bus operators union were also present in the meeting held here .
