108 ambulance mobile app in Himachal
Shimla: Himachal Pradesh has become the first state in the country to start 108 mobile app for immediate and easy facility of the National Ambulance Service (NAS).
The service was started Saturday by the state’s health minister Kaul Singh.
Now the beneficiary need not to share the details of their name and location while using this app.
The health minister also flagged off five new ambulances under 108 NAS from the Ridge in Shimla.
These ambulances will provide service at Jalog, Rampur, Chatari, Gagret and Bharari. There are now 199 such ambulances in the state. The service was started with 50 vehicles in 2010.
