10 dead in Himachal jeep fall

Shimla : Ten people were left dead in Himachal Pradesh’s Hamirpur district when a vehicle plunged  into a gorge , police said Wednesday .

 The dead include six women . All died on the spot . The dead were labourers from Rajasthan returning from a road side work site .

 Police with the help of local villagers retrieved the bodies in the dark late Tuesday from Uhal some 180 km from the state capital Shimla . Two people have been seriously injured .

 Road accidents are common in mountainous Himachal Pradesh .
