India’s Outlook magazine stares back at Time magazine

Outlook magazine has surprised global American giant Time by doing a tit for tat provocative cover story( due on July 30) .

Two weeks ago Time magazine did a cover story on prime minister Manmohan Singh calling him “the underachiever”. This story has stirred a big debate in India

Now New Delhi based Outlook magazine has US president Barack Obama on its latest cover calling him “the underachiever”.

Outlook writes: “America needed a reboot he promised hope and change. Four years on, President Barack Obama’s sheen is gone. Can his lofty rhetoric carry him home again?”

But the Outlook editor is quoted as saying that he has not done a tit for tat story .

Outlook has a history of provocative journalism and was started seventeen years ago by Vinod Mehta .
