Top heavy : Himachal gets one more Addl Ch Secy

Shimla: Adding to the army of additional chief secretaries the Himachal Pradesh government on Tuesday promoted one more senior bureaucrat to this top post.

Sanjeev Gupta back from central deputation has been made additional chief secretary.

Of late there has been much criticism of further bloating the top heavy bureaucracy of the hill state and straining the resources.

Gupta has been allotted animal husbandry.Madhu Bala Sharma moves out as director women and child development to secretary Lokayukta.

Sanjeev Bhatnagar has been transferred as director SC,OBC and minorities affairs.He will continue to hold the additional charge of director Ayurveda.

Special Secretary social justice and empowerment J R Katwal is now director women and child development. He will continue to hold the additional charge of MD of the state electronics department.
