Thunder showers surprise Shimla

Despite the weather man forecasting no rain, Shimla and surrounding areas were hit by a thunderstorm Tuesday.

It was a cloudless morning and noon. But suddenly dark clouds gathered and a thunderstorm hit the hill station. Along with the rain hail also fell.

Since it was sunny for half of the day the high in Shimla was 24.5 C.

Rain was also reported from nearby places.
