Singhania to set up Rs 175 crore unit in Himachal

Shimla : Singhania Beverages Ltd will set up a Rs 175 crore manufacturing plant in Himachal Pradesh .

The state’s single window clearance and monitoring authority which met here Thursday under chief minister P.K. Dhumal also gave its clearance to Foremost Dairies Pvt Ltd to set up a Rs 14 crore unit in the state .

“In all four new industrial proposals were approved besides three expansion proposals of existing units with a combined proposed investment of almost Rs 289 crore were also cleared by the government ,” said a spokesman of the state government here .

Only last week the state’s industries minister had claimed that despite withdrawal of the central excise package over two years ago investment in the state had not slowed down.
