Plastic engineering institute Baddi campus stone

Shimla : The Centre on Wednesday announced Rs 40 crore to build the campus of the Central Institute of Plastic Engineering and Technology (CIPT) at Baddi in Himachal Pradesh.

This was announced by Anant Kumar Union chemicals and fertilisers minister while laying the foundation stone of the CIPET. Land is being provided by the state government.

At present CIPET Baddi is functioning temporarily in the premises of Baddi Technical Training Institute (BTTI).

The motive of CIPET is to upgrade the skill & technical competency of personnel in plastics industry.

It offers Post Graduate Diploma in Plastics Processing & Testing (PGD-PPT) from the academic year 2015-16 besides wide range of short-duration, skill-cum-technology up-gradation Programmes in the field of Plastics Processing and Injection Moulding.
