Holidays on Jan 17, 19, 21

Shimla : Due to voting for Panchayati Raj Institutions it willbe a public holiday on January 17, 19;and 21.

The holiday will apply in the areas of those Panchayati Raj Institutions where the elections are scheduled to be held on the respective dates .

All government offices, boards, corporations, educational institutions and industrial establishments situated in the Himachal Pradesh under Industrial Disputes Act and shops will remain closed on the said date in the areas of above institutions. This will also be a paid holiday to daily wages employees.

A special casual leave may be given to those employees who are working in different places in the state but have a right to vote in Panchayati Raj Institutions on the production of certificates from the concerned Presiding Officer that the employee has actually cast his vote.
