Himachal records above normal rainfall in July

Shimla : Himachal Pradesh has experienced 6 per cent above normal rainfall in July even as more rain has been forecast over the next few days.

While the normal rainfall in July is 273 mm this time it was 289 mm. Total rainy days this time were 28 days and there were three active wet spells.

Also the highest temperature recorded was 42.5 C on 9th July, the weatherman said today.

Out of the twelve districts Kullu received large excess rainfall. Hamirpur and Kangra received excess, while Bilaspur, Kinnaur, Mandi, Shimla, Sirmaur, Una and Solan had normal rainfall. Only Chamba and Lahaul & Spiti had deficent rainfall.
