Himachal records 62 per cent less rain in March
Shimla : Himachal Pradesh continues to remain rain deficent.In March the hill state received 62 per cent less rainfall than average, the weatherman said today.
All the twelve districts were deficent. There were thirteen spells out of which only five spells resulted in widespread rain and snow.
The highest temperature recorded in the state in March was 36 C in Una while Keylong recorded the lowest at minus 5.8 C on 24 March the weather office said.
In the past few years the highest rainfall 191 mm was recorded in March 2015 while the lowest at 0.5 mm was recorded in 2004. While this year it was 42 mm.
