Himachal police seizes Rs 56 lakh drugs money

Shimla: The Himachal Pradesh police today recovered Rs 56.25 lakh dirty drugs money from a jeweller in neighbouring Punjab’s Pathankot on the basis of information divulged from the accused.The raid was conducted at Gaurav Jewellers.

Police said this money was deposited by the accused Rohit with with the jeweller for preparation of gold ornaments. Follow up action is being taken by the police.

“It is pertinent to mention that yesterday the Nurpur police had recovered 1100 gram heroin and chitta, 100 tablets Alprazolam I.P. 0.5 mg and cash of Rs. 13,20,330 from Vishal Kumar of village Bhadroya, Tehsil Indora, Distt. Kangra. And Rohit Kumar of Khatib Dera Baba Nanak Road,Teh.Gurdaspur Punjab.
