Bali is party Observer Uttarakhand

Shimla:The Congress party has appointed Himachal transport minister G S Bali as Observer for the upcoming assembly polls in neighbouring Uttarakhand, party sources said here Tuesday.

General Secretary Ambika Soni and Incharge Uttarakhand will assign the nature of work soon.

Polls are likely in Uttarakhand sometime in February.

Besides Transport Bali is also the Civil Supplies minister.He hails from Kangra the most populous district in the hill state.

Of late he has been involved in a war of words with the state chief minister Virbhadra Singh on some issues.
