30 new ambulances flagged off
Shimla: Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur today flagged off 30 new ambulances from here today to different parts of the hill state.
The National Ambulance Service was started on PPP in the state on 25th December, 2010.
Jai Ram said 46 ambulances joined the fleet of ambulances in the 2019, 100 ambulances in 2020 and 50 ambulances this year.
So 196 ambulances have been provided under the National Ambulance Service 108, to facilitate the people of the State. Apart from this, the Government has also dedicated 10 Jeevandhara Health Ambulances for public welfare in the year 2020.
A total of 25 Chief Minister’s Mobile Clinic Vehicles have also been provided for public welfare.
Jai Ram said the National Ambulance Service 108 has provided emergency services to about 18,25,695 beneficiaries till date. He said that as many as 248 ambulances were providing services to the people of Himachal Pradesh.
