Rajan Sushant gets AAP ticket from Kangra

Shimla :Barely days after leaving the BJP , sitting MP from Kangra Rajan Sushant on Thursday figured in the second list of Aam Admi Party (AAP) Lok Sabha candidates .

Sushant has been given an AAP ticket from Himachal Pradesh’s most populous and prestigious Lok Sabha seat Kangra .

Sushant has an RSS origin and shot into prominence in the early 80s as a youth leader .Hailing from Jwali he has been an MLA four times and an MP once.

In PK Dhumal’s first regime from 1998-2003 he was a revenue minister .But turned against him in his second regime from 2007-2012 .

He attacked Dhumal , his son Anurag Thakur and other leaders accusing them of promoting corruption and selling land illegally to outsiders .

The matter went to the BJP’s high command and he was suspended for his outbursts . Less than a week ago he left the BJP and joined AAP.

He could now take on another brahmin leader from Kangra the veteran Shanta Kumar of the BJP . Sushant was at one time a protege of Shanta but rebelled against him as well .

Keeping in mind his temperamental and rebellious nature it will be interesting to see how Sushant’s innings unfolds with AAP .
