Pre-Monsoon showers in Himachal

Shimla: The weather took a turn on Wednesday with widespread rains in many parts of Himachal Pradesh.

The weatherman says these are pre-monsoon showers.The wet spell in likely to continue over the next few days.

Farmers heaved a sigh of relief in the mid and lower hills as these rains will benefit standing crops and will help sowing of crops.

The weatherman says the monsoon is expected by the end of this month.

Warning of heavy rain has been issued in neighbouring Uttarakhand.
