Chamba embroidery book released

Shimla : Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur today released a book ”Capacity Building of Artisans for the Sustenance of Traditional Chamba Embroidery” written by Rohini Arora.

While appreciating the efforts of the author Jai Ram said the book would go a long way in capacity building of artisans and could be used as reference material to reorient the artisans concerning traditional themes, designs, and motifs. 

Author Rohini Arora said that the book illustrates indigenous motifs of both embroidery styles, double sided and single – sided embroidery practiced in the same region.
