Work will soon start at Shimla’s new Subzi Mandi at Darni-ka-Bagicha to be built at a cost of Rs 20 crore on the bypass road.
The foundation stone of the vegetable market was laid by the Himachal chief minister Virbhadra Singh on Friday.
It will have two auction centres and thirty shops. Each auction centres would have 30×50 square meter space.
The channelisation work of nearby nullah would be taken by the Municipal Corporation alongwith PWD National Highway.
Shimla already has subzi mandis in old Shimla and in Dhalli.
