Shimla : BJP MP from Kangra Rajan Sushant on Monday fired a salvo at Himachal chief minister P.K.Dhumal asking him to step down in view of the high court judgment which fined the Jaypee group Rs 100 crore .

“The high court judgment on May 4 has held both the Jaypee group and the state government equally responsible for violating the law by setting up a cement plant at Bagheri ,” Sushant said here .

“Such huge deviations could not have taken place without the connivance of the state government ,” said the rebel MP .

“Not only was unauthorised land regularised at Bagheri the environment clearance was also given by the Dhumal government ,” he alleged .

“This scandal can be compared to the 2G spectrum allotment and the Yeddyurappa scandal in Karnataka ,” Sushant said .

“If Dhumal does not resign , I will launch a state wide agitation after a fortnight ,” he warned .

He also demanded a CBI inquiry into the entire matter .

Sushant has been attacking the Dhumal led BJP government for promoting corruption in the state in the last year or so .

The party recently suspended him from the party but Sushant continues to remain a primary member of the BJP.
