The two day race has riders from all over India and abroad. The riders will cover 120 kms, passing through wobbly single tracks, rickety roads and scenic meadows.

Mohit Sood, the President of HASTPA organisation while welcoming the Chief Guest of the event Brigadier S K Lama said “With the ever increasing population of Indian riders in the country, we initiated this separate venture of Hero MTB Shimla 2016 to foster this growing interest and we are glad to see so many people taking part over the years.”

“It gives me immense pleasure to be here for this vibrant event. Being a man in olive green uniform, I sense a similarity between soldiers and mountain bikers, both are fuelled with passion and battle fighting factors. I would like to wish all the bikers a wonderful, fun-filled journey ahead! Godspeed! Jai Hind!,” said Brigadier S K Lama
