Heritage status for Himachal tourism’s Naggar castle hotel

Shimla : The Castle Naggar hotel in Himachal Pradesh’s Kullu valley has been given heritage status by the union tourism ministry , the state’s chief secretary S Roy said WednesdayThis well known hotel is owned and run by the HP Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC) .

Naggar has been the summer royal seat of Kullu state for centuries . It is said to be built by Raja Jagat Singh .

Archaeologists say no metal or iron has been used to built this monument . The wooden beams used in the walls have been prepared from whole trees . The two main doors have been used by axe.
