6 Eco Tourism sites in Himachal

imageShimla :Currently there are half a dozen places of the Himachal forest department that have been given on rent under public private partnership(PPP) mode to function as eco-tourism sites in the hill states under the revised policy.

In a written reply the state forest minister Thakur Singh Bharmouri told the house Thursday that these projects have been given to five entrepreneurs across the state.

They include Ala forest rest house in the resort town of Dalhousie to Taragan Developers. While the Barog camping site to the Naina Devi Trust.And the Chewa site near Barog to Pine Hill Eco Camp.

Moti Kuna Hill at Sanawar near Kasauli has been handed over to Vishal Verma. The Shoghi Camping site near Shimla to Tarangan Developers. And the Potter’s Hill eco-tourism site in Shimla to Ajit Butail.

The forest minister said currently there was no proposal to rent out more such properties for eco-tourism.
